2024 Children’s Fishing Tournament
On Saturday morning August 3rd the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association, Inc. hosted their 28th annual young anglers fishing tournament on beautiful Lake Lauderale. The 44 young anglers age 2 years to 15 years old, lined the county park shoreline for a fun morning of fishing, face painting, food and prizes. Overall, 284 fish were caught during the derby!
Asa Stefan caught the largest fish, an 16 inch large mouth bass, and was the grand prize winner.
Ryan Myers caught the most fish of the day; twenty-eight!
Other prize winners were:
Age group 2-8 years; 1st place Ellie Anatriello, 2nd place Avery McKernon, 3rd place Savannah Martindale.
Age group 9-11 years; 1stplace Colton Curtis 2nd place Adelaide Eaton, 3rd place Micha Flint.
Age group 12-15 years; 1st place Paige Matteson, 2nd place Ryan Myers, 3rd place Anthony Putnam.
Thanks to the generosity and support from individual donations and Cambridge area businesses, all young anglers received a prize for participating in this event. This annual event hosted by the LLIA, Inc. provides a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a fun morning of fishing and fun.
