2023 Children’s Fishing Tournament

On Saturday morning, August 5th, the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association, Inc. (LLIA) hosted their 27th annual Young Angler’s Fishing Tournament. The 37 young anglers age tow to fifteen years old lined the county park shoreline for a fun morning of fishing, face painting, food, and prizes.
In total, the children caught three hundred forty fish!
Colin Morrison caught the largest fish;at 13 1/2 inch bass, winning the grand prize.
Francis MacJarrett caught the most fish;thirty-two!
The top prizes by fish length are separated into three groups based on age.
The first place winner of the oldest children was Bridget Toleman.Second place was won by Paige Malteson. Third place was won by Colton Curtis.
The first place winner of the middle age group was Connor Conklin. Second place was won by Kaylee Spendiff. Third place was won by Atty Eaton.
The first place winner of our youngest age group was John Calhoun. Second place was won by Ellie Anatriello. Third place was won by Avery MacPherson.
Thanks to the generosity of and support from individual donors, Cambridge area businesses, Stewart’s Holiday Match program, and the LLIA, Inc, all young anglers received lunch and a prize for participating in the event.
